IBA Karachi Breaks Ground on New Islamabad Campus in DHA Phase 5

IBA Karachi, Institution of Business Administration, is poised to embark upon extending its academic footprint in the shape of its groundwork in connection with its new Islamabad campus. The pertinent groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 21, 2026. The campus is currently being developed in DHA Islamabad at its Phase 5, pursuant to IBA Karachi’s strategic collaboration with DHA Islamabad-Rawalpindi.

IBA Executive Director Dr S. Akbar Zaidi described the project as the key milestone in the context of Pakistan’s education sector, prioritising academic excellence, human-capital development over and above the art of leadership. He claimed that the establishment of the campus was not merely an institutional site but meant for the emerging decision makers of Pakistan.

The Karachi-Islamabad project is envisioned as the major flagship destination pertaining to education, research, innovation on top of leadership development inside the federal capital of Pakistan. The groundbreaking denotes distinguished trajectory in relation to IBA which was founded in 1955 and since its inception IBA has carved out its place as widely recognised educational institution of Pakistan boasting chiefly of its reputation in the areas of Business and Management.

Spread across 12.5 acres, the proposed Islamabad campus has been designed as an integrated academic and innovation ecosystem well positioned to serve a student body comprising exceedingly 3000 students. Its remarkably impressive features enclose Academic block, Research Complex, Multi-floor Library beyond and above its 500-seat Auditorium.

 The Islamabad campus envisaged as Pakistan’s next-generation innovation nerve centre is looked forward to house world class research laboratories inclusive of 250 state-of-the-art purpose built spaces committed to innovation in conjunction with corporate engagement.
